ITINERARY

DAY ONE
We leave Darwin at 7:00am and travel towards Kakadu National Park, stopping along the way for some true bush hospitality at the Bark Hut Inn. Entering the park we discover the spectacular scenery and aboriginal rock art of Nourlangie Rock. After a picnic lunch, we cruise Yellow Waters, home to a wide variety of bird life and the lurking saltwater crocodile. Overnight at our established camp for the evening, having dinner around the camp fire under the stars. (L,D)

DAY TWO
After an early breakfast we depart on our big day out to Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls. These falls are in a remote area of the park only accessible by four wheel drive, some 70 kilometres off the sealed road. It's an area of incredible natural beauty. Twin Falls is only accessible by water and we take a short boat cruise to the falls. After a picnic lunch, we take the hike (approximately 1km) through the rainforest to Jim Jim Falls. We return to the camp for dinner and overnight (B,L,D)

DAY THREE
We leave camp after breakfast and travel to the clear rock pools of Barramundi Gorge. After lunch, explore the rock art and spectacular scenery of Ubirr Rock. Arrive back in Darwin at approximately 6:30pm. (B,L)

This is a camping tour. We use several established campsites throughout the Park to make sure you get the best bush experience.  Sleep in two person tents, each with two single beds, sleeping bags and sheets provided. All campsites have toilets and hot showers.  

Darwin Accommodation

When touring with Billy Can Tours, you will be collected from your pre-tour accommodation in
Darwin at the start of the tour.  At the end of the tour we will drop you back to your Darwin
accommodation (with the exception of Arnhemland Tours which finish with a flight into Darwin
Airport).

What To Bring

Activity on this tour includes trekking, climbing and swimming and although the distances aren't great, in the heat and humidity any activity is more strenuous. Passengers need a reasonable level of fitness and agility and some participation is encouraged.

We recommend you bring comfortable walking shoes, shorts, t-shirts, long pants and long sleeved shirt (mosquito protection and extra warmth at night during winter), swimsuit, hat, towel, pillow, sun block, necessary medication, change of clothes, camera and spare film, torch and a sense of fun.

Personal luggage is limited to an overnight bag and a day pack. Most Darwin accommodation will be happy to store any excess luggage you may have, some do charge a small fee. We recommend that your store valuables in the safety deposit at your Darwin accommodation.

All transportation from Darwin back to Darwin, camping accommodation, National Park Entry Fees, services of a knowledgeable guide throughout, Yellow Water cruise in Kakadu National Park, all meals from lunch on day one to lunch on day three and all camping equipment. The order of events in this itinerary may be changed around depending on conditions in the Park.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday with a minimum of 2 passengers.

Any day with a minimum of 4 passengers.

Pick Up:-

Pick up is from your accommodation in Darwin at 7:00am onwards.
Return is approximately 7:00pm at the end of the tour.

Group Size:-

The maximum group size is 6, with a minimum of 2 required to confirm a booking.
