This tour departs Darwin Mondays and Wednesdays.

Day 1
Departs Darwin accommodation 7:00am Adelaide River wetlands, Bark Hut, Old Jim Jim Road, White Lily Billabong, South Alligator River Crossing, Barramundi Gorge (Maguk), Ubirr Rock Sunset.
Overnight: Lakeview Bush Bungalows.

Day 2
Departs 8:00am Cahills Crossing, East Alligator River, Magela Wetlands, Arnhemland Escarpment, Gunbalanya (Oenpelli) Aboriginal Community, Injalak Art Centre, Aboriginal guided rock art tour. Depart Gunbalanya and journey via Murganella to Coburg Peninsula, home of Gurig Ganuk Barlu National and Marine Park. Sunset overlooking Port Essington.
Overnight: Venture North Coastal Camp.

Day 3
A full day of exploring Port Essington by boat. Our destination is the historic ruins of the Victoria Settlement (1838 - 1849) our day is spent beachcombing, fishing, looking for Turtle, Dugong, Crocodiles and many other species of unique marine life which inhabit the area.
Overnight: Venture North Coastal Camp.

Day 4
Today we explore the freshwater Paperbark swamps and Billabongs in the Eastern side of the park before continuing via the Northern beaches to the parks Cultural and Information centre. Then make our way back to the camp.

Day 5
An early start to make our way bak to Kakadu, optional East Alligator River Boat Cruise (not included) Bardejilidji sandstone walk, BBQ lunch at Border Store (Croc, Buffalo or Barra Burger), Mumakala Wetlands, Fogg Dam, Darwin.

  • Cobourg Park Entry Fee and Permit
  • There is no age limit however a reasonable level of fitness is required
  • There is a maximum of 7 and a minimum of 4 passengers

BYO:

  • hat, sunblock;
  • swimmers and towel;
  • personal medications;
  • torch and your camera!

Note: Personal baggage is limited to an overnight bag and a day pack.
