Day 1
We visit Fogg Dam Nature Reserve where we view a menagerie
of birdlife, snakes and other reptiles. From here, we travel onto
the Mary River for a spectacular crocodile / wildlife cruise. After
lunch, we visit Bowali Visitor Centre and then spend the rest of
the afternoon exploring Ubirr Rock where the Aboriginal rock art
dates back an estimated 20,000 years. We camp in our permanent campsite
in Kakadu National Park. (LD)
Day 2
This morning we travel to the awesome Jim Jim Falls
located deep within striking escarpment country and walk to the
base of the falls, enjoying the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful
area. After lunch, we travel to Twin Falls (only able to be accessed
by swimming) to admire the cascading waterfall and sunbake on the
sandy bank before travelling back to Darwin. (BL)
