El Questro is a vast and raw landscape of just under a million
acres in the hart of the ancient Kimberley region in far-north
Western Australia. It brims with natural wonders which belie
most people's image of the outback. Magnificent mountain ranges,
rambling rivers, countless gorges, a myriad of thermal springs,
and vast strehes of spinifix plain give a rugged beauty with
spectacular views. Truly one of the world's few remaining wild
frontiers, it is a land of superlatives.
Long uncharted, over the past decade El Questro has been transformed
into a diverse and awe-inspiring wilderness park. Many natural
features have been explored, named and documented. The property
now attracts over 60,000 visitors a year.
Choose from the
elegantly appointed Homestead, rustic River Bungalows or Emma
Gorge Resort for accommodation options at El Questro Station,
it would also be suggested to stay a minimum of two nights or
three to four if you can afford the time.
El Questro was awarded a position in the Western Australia Hall
of Fame,
for outstanding excellence and achievement in tourism.
