4 Day Ayers Rock Complete
Highlights • Ayers Rock (Uluru) • Olgas (Kata Tjuta) • Sounds of Silence Dinner • Culture • 4WD Mt Conner Safari

Day 1: Ayers Rock - Sounds of Silence.
On arrival at the airport you will be transferred to your accommodation. This afternoon relax at Ayers Rock Resort, prior to a late afternoon transfer to Sounds of Silence, a dining experience under a million stars, sip on a glass of sparkling wine with the sound of a lone didjeridu filling the air as the sun slowly sets over Kata Juta & Uluru. Dine on a gourmet BBQ of Australian delicacies and then sit back and take in the mystery of the desert sky. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort Three Nights - choice of accommodation.

Day 2: Ayers Rock - Uluru Sunrise & Afternoon Kata Tjuta
Travel to the sunrise viewing area, Talinguru nyakunytjaku, to watch the first light of the day creep across the desert plains at Uluru. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits as the morning sun slowly changes the colour of Uluru. In summer watching sunrise at Uluru in the cool morning air is the perfect start to the day. In winter months we recommend a jacket as the desert air can be cold. After sunrise return to Ayers Rock Resort for time at leisure.

This afternoon meet up with a Driver/Guide and travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). You will learn about the geological history of these giant domes. Your Driver/Guide will then escort you on a 2-3 hour walk in the valley between the massive red conglomerate rock. The walking path is rocky and requires a good level of fitness. Marvel at the unique flora and fauna that has survived in this harsh environment. When you reach the Valley of the Winds lookout, take some time to gaze out over the central valley of Kata Tjuta. Then take in a magnificent outback sunset at Kata Tjuta while enjoying a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.

Day 3: Full Day 4WD Mt Conner Safari.
Mt. Conner, the third of the great monoliths, is 100 kms east of Uluru and on the western fringe of the vast cattle station, Curtin Springs. As the tour follows the station's 4wd tracks, you will discover vast salt lakes that are remnants of ancient inland oceans, examine fossilized remains of the oldest life forms on earth, but best of all, experience Australia's rugged outback. Circling Mt Connor, you'll be surprised to find a hidden side with a series of rugged gorges, a perfect haven for small populations of Red Kangaroos and Rock Wallabies. Because of the dams built for watering cattle, wildlife is more prevalent here than in the desert. The 4wd grinds and bounces its way to a high lookout giving view over the vast, arid desert on into South Australia. Before the sunsets we reach the ruins of the first homestead. A hole in the sand hills and a pile of sandstone chimney blocks are all that remain, in what seems like the loneliest place in the world. With the imposing Mt Conner changing colour in the background and a rusty windmill churning quietly, we toast the sunset with complimentary champagne and wonder how lonely yet splendid, it would have been to live in such a place. Then in the gathering night we drive to Curtin Springs, where in the kitchen built from parts of the old homestead, we enjoy a three-course dinner prepared by the station cook, before returning to Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 4: Uluru - Sunrise & Climb.
