Day
One (150km)
On arrival at
Ayers Rock airport, transfer to your hotel, with your car available at the
Outback Pioneer Hotel. This afternoon tour of the base of Ayers Rock (Uluru)
and a walk into Mutitjulu Water hole. Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural
Centre. View sunset over Ayers Rock. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort
Day Two (350km)
This morning enjoy sunrise over Ayers Rock, with opportunity
to Climb Uluru.Travel out to the Olgas (Kata-Tjuta) for a walk through its
spectacular domes. The trail leads through to a lookout point with majestic
views deep into the Valley of the Winds. Afternoon free to relax around the
many pools at Ayers Rock Resort or check out the galleries full of local art
work, before the award winning Sounds of Silence, silver service dinner under
a million stars. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort
Day
Three (480km)
Travel
to Kings Canyon to climb to the rim of magnificent Kings Canyon (for the energetic,
sturdy footwear required). Alternately, you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn
Canyon floor (an easier shady walk), check out Kathleen Springs on your way
to Kings Canyon Resort. Budget rooms for Travellers, Rangeview
room for Boutique, First Class and Deluxe.
Day
Four (325km)
Morning
departure to head to Glen Helen Gorge via the spectacular Meerenie Loop road,
pausing at Gosse's Bluff, prior to crossing Tylers Pass for the afternoon
free to relax in the beautiful setting of Glen Helen Resort or explore Ormiston
Gorge. Motel accommodation at Glen Helen Resort.
Day
Five
Return
to Alice Springs, via Namatjira Drive to drop your car mid afternoon at Alice
Springs airport for your flight home.
Includes : Kia Sorrento 4WD with unlimited kilometres, basic insurance and all accommodation and Sounds of Silence Dinner. All prices are per person twin share, email for a quote for 3 or 4 share, + family deals.
From 1/4/08 there will be a relocation fee of $330 for the 4wd rental, or you can hire the 4wd for an extra day for $176.00.
