Four Day Central Australian Self Drive

Day One (10km)
On arrival at Ayers Rock airport, transfer to your hotel, then collect
your car from the Ayers Rock Tourist Information Centre. This afternoon relax at Ayers
Rock Resort, prior to a late afternoon transfer to Sounds of Silence, a dining
experience under a million stars, sip on a glass of sparkling wine with the
sound of a lone didjeridu filling the air as the sun slowly sets over Kata
Juta & Uluru. Dine on a gourmet BBQ of Australian delicacies and then
sit back and take in the mystery of the desert sky. Accommodation: Ayers Rock
Resort - Three Nights
Day Two (250km)
This morning travel out to the Olgas (Kata-Tjuta) for a walk
through its spectacular domes. The trail leads through to a lookout point
with spectacular views deep into the Valley of the Winds. This afternoon drive atround the
base of Ayers Rock (Uluru) and take a walk into Mutitjulu Water hole. Visit the
Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre then view sunset over Ayers Rock.
Day Three (780km)
Today travel to Kings Canyon - to climb to the rim of magnificent
Kings Canyon (for the energetic, sturdy footwear required). Alternatively,
you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor (an easier shady walk)
This afternoon return to Ayers Rock Resort.
Day
Four (330km)
Early morning awakening for sunrise over Uluru and mid morning
opportunity to climb to the summit, prior to returning to Ayers Rock Resort,
for your flight home.
