3 Day Ayers Rock Highlights
Highlights  • Olgas (Kata Tjuta) • Ayers Rock (Uluru)

Day 1: Alice Springs - Sounds of Silence
Travelling south we stop to visit a camel farm for morning tea. Later stop at a lookout to view Mt. Conner before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon relax at Ayers Rock Resort, prior to a late afternoon transfer to Sounds of Silence, a dining experience under a million stars, sip on a glass of sparkling wine with the sound of a lone didjeridu filling the air as the sun slowly sets over Kata Juta & Uluru. Dine on a gourmet BBQ of Australian delicacies and then sit back and take in the mystery of the desert sky.
Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort, 2 nights - choice of accommodation.

Day 2: Ayers Rock - Sunrise and Afternoon Kata Tjuta.
Travel to the sunrise viewing area, Talinguru nyakunytjaku, to watch the first light of the day creep across the desert plains at Uluru. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits as the morning sun slowly changes the colour of Uluru. In summer watching sunrise at Uluru in the cool morning air is the perfect start to the day. In winter months we recommend a jacket as the desert air can be cold. After sunrise return to Ayers Rock Resort for time at leisure.

This afternoon meet up with a Driver/Guide and travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). You will learn about the geological history of these giant domes. Your Driver/Guide will then escort you on a 2-3 hour walk in the valley between the massive red conglomerate rock. The walking path is rocky and requires a good level of fitness. Marvel at the unique flora and fauna that has survived in this harsh environment. When you reach the Valley of the Winds lookout, take some time to gaze out over the central valley of Kata Tjuta. Then take in a magnificent outback sunset at Kata Tjuta while enjoying a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.

Day 3: Ayers Rock - Kings Canyon - Alice Springs
An early start from Ayers Rock Resort should reward us with a magnificent desert sunrise en route to Kings Canyon. Breakfast may be purchased at Kings Creek Station (own expense). Make the rocky climb to the rim of the Canyon (for the energetic) for marvellous views. Alternatively, you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn Canyon floor. Stop at Kings Canyon Resort to purchase lunch (own expense) before returning to Alice Springs.
