Day 1: Alice Springs
On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel (flights into Alice Springs prior to 1.00pm). This afternoon enjoy a tour of Alice Springs including the historic Telegraph Station, Royal Flying Doctor Service, School of the Air and the Alice Springs Reptile Centre. The final stop is Anzac Hill lookout to take in the panorama of Alice Springs.
Accommodation: Alice Springs Resort Deluxe (AY54R, AY54F), Alice Springs Resort Superior (AY54S), or Alice Springs Resort Standard (AY54L). - 2 nights.

Day 2: Alice Springs - West MacDonnell Ranges & Desert Park
Travel west from Alice Springs following the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges. Our first stop is at Simpsons Gap with its beautiful red gums. Continue to Angkerle (Standley Chasm). Walk along the stony watercourse lined with cycads, ghost gums, cypress pines and acacias. A light lunch will be provided before you depart for Alice Springs Desert Park. Explore the desert rivers, sand country and woodland habitats and discover many of the secrets of the Central Australian deserts. Visit the Nocturnal House and witness free-flying birds of prey in the nature theatre at the Birds of Prey Presentation. Afterwards you will be transferred back to Alice Springs. (L)

Day 3: Ayers Rock - The Olgas
Travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges and stop at a camel farm for morning tea. Later stop to view majestic Mt. Conner, before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon tour the Olgas (Kata Tjuta), then off to watch sunset over Ayers Rock (Uluru) while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine.

Day 4: Ayers Rock - Kings Canyon - Alice Springs
Drive through sandhill country towards Kings Canyon, stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station (own expense). Continue on to Watarrka National Park where you can make the rocky climb with your Guide to the rim of Kings Canyon to be rewarded with marvellous views. The climb may take up to 3 hours and is for those with a good level of fitness. Or you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor, an easier walk. After lunch (own expense) we continue to Alice Springs. Accommodation: Alice Springs Resort Deluxe (AY54R, AY54F), Alice Springs Resort Superior (AY54S), or Alice Springs Resort Standard (AY54L). - 2 nights.

Day 5: Alice Springs - Palm Valley Day Tour
Today our 4WD Safari travels through the West MacDonnell Ranges to Hermannsburg, an Aboriginal community and historic precinct which is renowned for its Aboriginal art collection and the works of Albert Namatjira. Then travel down the bed of the Finke River, one of the oldest watercourses in the world, into Palm Valley. See spectacular rock forms, white sands and an oasis of rock pools and palm trees. Some plants, such as the cycad and 'Livistona Mariae' (cabbage palm) are known world-wide as relic plants and are unique to Central Australia. Visit the spectacular rock formation known as the Amphitheatre. On the return journey, relax and enjoy watching the changing colours of the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges in the afternoon sunlight.(L)

Day 6: Alice Springs
This morning is yours to look around Alice Springs before your flight home (flight not included).

Returns:   10.00am to Alice Springs
